Inspiring confidence in the U.S. ability to ramp up border security, the nation's chief of homeland security had this to say:
“You’re never going to totally seal that border.. . . It’s 1,960 miles across that Southwest border. It’s some of the roughest, toughest geographical terrain in the world across that border. And so, the notion that you’re going to seal that border somehow is something that anybody who’s been involved in the actual doing of law enforcement–the front office work or the front line work of the law enforcement–would say, ‘You’re never going to totally seal that border.’" – Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano
I guess we shouldn't even try since it's so hard and all. But we have done better and we can do better, but not if you're holding border security hostage in an attempt to get AMNESTY.
Meanwhile, three openly illegal protesters have yet to be arrested by ANYONE in North Carolina. Why wouldn't all illegals just join them? And if they had arrested them, one of them wouldn't be in the hospital now.
