If you missed the monthly poll luncheon yesterday at the Clarion, you missed out on probably the most interesting poll finding we’ve had in our nearly 5 years of polling.
We asked voters if they had a favorable or unfavorable opinion of our good friend, Dallas Woodhouse:

And interestingly enough, Dallas is actually more popular among Democrats than he is among Republicans.
Americans For Prosperity completed a 35 city tour last night at the Kerr Scott building of the NC State Fairgrounds with over 1000 folks in attendance to watch Pres. Obama’s speech and hold a forum on the matter. Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory headlined the event and was joined by AFP National Director Tim Phillips.
“I am convinced that had not the people spoke out in this extremely personal issue, the president would not be giving a speech tonight because the bill would have already been passed,” McCrory said. “You did your job.”
Good coverage here on WRAL and here in the N&O.
This finished a 35 city “Hands Off Our Healthcare” tour that went from the mountains to the coast and added over 10,000 signatures to a petition against the proposed health care reform. No group or political party has remotely accomplished, in this state, what AFP has done on its own. Galvanizing citizens from all walks of life, offering alternatives to the proposed legislation, reaching out to elected officials and truly understanding the grass roots outrage, they have shown what can be accomplished.
Having helped in some small way and having gone to over 30 of their stops I can attest to the hard work put into these events. Hats off to Dallas Woodhouse, Chris Farr and Bill Gilbert for their tireless dedication to this issue that has made a difference!
Clearly, people are not convinced that this is needed or wanted as the Democrats plot their own demise. One has to wonder if anyone on Jones Street or Hillsborough Street is paying attention as they claim to understand “grass roots” efforts. . .
