So let me get this straight, Rush Limbaugh isn’t acceptable as a small piece of an ownership group for a National Football League team, but this guy is allowed to own an NBA team and nobody says a word?
Los Angeles Clippers owner and real estate mogul Donald T. Sterling has agreed to pay a record $2.725 million to settle allegations that he discriminated against African Americans, Hispanics and families with children at scores of apartment buildings he owns in and around Los Angeles.
Sterling is an actual racist that has actually harmed people. Limbaugh was slandered with quotes that were proven to be false. Where’s Al Sharpton with his famous outrage on this one? Oh wait, nowhere to be found. Where are the black players in the NBA saying they wouldn’t play for the Clippers or don’t want him as an owner? Again, nowhere to be found.
Hmm… why the double standard?

LOUIS (AP) – Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been dropped from a group seeking to buy the St. Louis Rams. ”This is not about the NFL, it’s not about the St. Louis Rams, it’s not about me,” Limbaugh said. “This is about the ongoing effort by the left in this country, wherever you find them, in the media, the Democrat Party, or wherever, to destroy conservatism, to prevent the mainstreaming of anyone who is prominent as a conservative.
Limbaugh’s bid ran into opposition from within the image-conscious NFL on Tuesday when Colts owner Jim Irsay said he would vote against the radio personality. Commissioner Roger Goodell said the commentator’s “divisive” comments would not be tolerated from any NFL insider.
But I’ll add one anyway. So it’s ok to let a dog abuser return to the NFL, but not a talk show host? It’s ok to let drunk drivers, wife abusers and a host of other criminals into the NFL, but not someone with opinions, unless they’re Jerry Jones.
In fact, here’s an entire blog dedicated to current NFL players who also happen to be criminals. But Limbaugh, being a partial owner, is somehow going to destroy the space time continuum and make little children’s ears bleed? A collective sigh and then a vehement, “Puh-leeeze!”
